A useful antidote to founder tunnel vision: a product can be objectively better and still lose if the acquisition loop is weaker. Distribution should be designed alongside the first feature, not after product-market fit.

This is the part most AI roadmaps skip. Model choice is visible and exciting; evaluation is repetitive infrastructure work. Without evals, teams cannot tell whether an upgrade improved the product or merely changed it.
