Annotated is a social annotation service that lets people capture meaningful passages, screenshots and media segments from the web, add their perspective, and discuss them while preserving the original source.
What Annotated does
Most online sharing strips away context. Annotated keeps every contribution connected to its source and asks the author to add genuine commentary. The result is a feed built around evidence, interpretation and useful disagreement rather than isolated screenshots.
How Annotated works
People can capture selected text, screenshot regions, YouTube segments and podcast clips, then add commentary and choose whether the annotation is public, unlisted or private. Public profiles, following, comments, likes and bookmarks make it possible to discover and discuss ideas while retaining clear attribution to the original source.
Google Sign-In and user data
Google Sign-In is optional. When you choose Google Sign-In, Annotated requests your name, email address and profile image solely to create, authenticate and display your Annotated account. Annotated does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar or other Google content. For more information, read our Privacy Policy.
