The Chrome Web Store submission is being prepared. Until Google approves it, trusted MVP testers can install this release build manually using the steps below.

Install the tester build

Step 1

Download the test build

Download the ZIP below and extract it to a folder you can keep. Chrome needs that folder to remain on your computer.

Step 2

Open Chrome extensions

Open chrome://extensions in Chrome and switch on Developer mode in the top-right corner.

Step 3

Load the extracted folder

Choose Load unpacked, then select the extracted folder containing manifest.json. Pin Annotated and open its side panel.

Step 4

Sign in and make a capture

Use the same Google or X account as the web app. Open a normal website, select text, and click the Annotated toolbar icon.

Tester installation uses Chrome Developer mode. Chrome may show a developer-mode warning, and this build does not update automatically. Download and reload a new build when an update is announced. Public one-click installation starts after Chrome Web Store approval.
